Two stages, each with a purpose

Our process begins with a first-stage foam treatment focused on loosening salt residue left behind by time on the water. We then follow with a second cleaning foam to tackle everyday dirt and grime.

This two-stage approach gives salt removal its own place in the cleaning process, alongside the work of washing the boat. It is a deliberate approach to the conditions boats face around Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor.

The water makes a difference

Ordinary water contains dissolved minerals. As droplets evaporate, those minerals can remain on the surface as visible spots—particularly noticeable on glass, stainless steel, and glossy finishes.

Deionization removes dissolved mineral ions from the water. By using deionized water throughout our wash and rinse, we reduce the minerals introduced during cleaning and help minimize new water spots as surfaces dry.

For our Premium Spot-Free Detail, DI water is part of the entire process, from the first wash to the final rinse.

Less salt, better ongoing care

Our two-stage wash and thorough deionized-water rinse help dissolve and carry salt residue away from your boat’s surfaces. Regular salt removal helps reduce a source of corrosion on exposed metal fittings and hardware. At the same time, DI water minimizes the dissolved minerals introduced by the wash water, helping deliver a cleaner, spot-free finish.
